Mian Ghulam Shah lies buried in an impressive mausoleum located in the center of a fort, at Hyderabad. Miyan Ghulam Shah Kalhoro was one of the most capable ruler of the Kalhora Dynasty of Sindh from 1757 till his death in 1772 A.D. He had great passion for construction of buildings. He not only founded new cities, but also constructed Forts, Mosques, and Tombs. He founded Hyderabad in 1768 A.D. /1182 A.H., and made it his capital. He died in 1772 (1186 A.H). Tomb of Miyan Ghulam Shah was constructed by his son Sarfraz Khan Kalhoro in 1772 (1186 A.H). It is a great massive square building, standing upon an extensive platform.
