Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the preservation work of Sehwan Fort, marking another significant milestone in the Sindh government’s efforts to protect the province’s rich archaeological heritage. During the ceremony, the CM highlighted the Endowment Fund Trust’s (EFT) successful restoration of Naukot and Ranikot forts and expressed confidence in their ability to bring Sehwan Fort up to international preservation standards. Emphasizing the need for comprehensive research and collaboration, CM Shah announced plans to establish a ‘TransIndusResearchInstitute’inKarachiandhostaninternationalconferenceonAlexandertheGreat’s connection to Sehwan. He called upon archaeologists, historians, and cultural institutions to actively participate in these preservation efforts, ensuring Sindh’s heritage is safeguarded for future generations. The CM particularly commended the EFT for its independent management of a 1.6 billion rupee fund dedicated to these conservation projects, showcasing the government’s commitment to protecting Sindh’s historical treasures through sustainable initiatives.
