The tomb of Ameer Yaar Muhammad, located within the Makli Necropolis, dates back to the Tarkhan period in the early 17th century. This structure is constructed from brick and stone, with stone utilized at the core of its foundation, a common building technique of the era in the region near Thatta. Prior to restoration, the tomb had suffered significant structural damage, with the dome and drum having collapsed.

This necessitated urgent intervention to stabilize the remaining parts of the monument, which holds historical and architectural significance within the necropolis. The restoration project for the tomb of Ameer Yaar Muhammad received board approval in August 2022, with a budget of PKR 4.500 million, and was executed by the Head Office. The restoration work, aimed at addressing the collapsed dome and drum and ensuring the stability of the overall structure, was completed in October 2023, preserving this 17th-century Tarkhan period tomb.
